This is a conflict case and requires a pro bono to represent this child, age 10 years, who came into care with a sibling group and was placed with an attorney. Since initially coming into care the children’s wishes have changed and are no longer in alignment with each other’s wishes. This child is placed with one of his siblings, a younger brother. There are some behavior issues. There is a potential family member in California that may be able to take this child but, that still needs to be explored more. This child feels that his siblings have a better chance of being adopted if he is not attached. This child is in need of an attorney to represent his wishes and legal rights to permanency, placement, visitation, and to ensure appropriate services are in place. There is a Permanency Planning Hearing set for September 4, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., in Courtroom 22.
